Shockaroo: Penske Racing Beats Superteams Hendrick and Gibbs
During the whole week leading up to the Daytona 500 the discussion focused on which team – Hendrick or Gibbs – would win the Great American Race. Roush Racing Ford driver Matt Kenseth, much to the chagrin of his manufacturer, gave a quote to the Daytona Beach News Journal that even he predicted a Gibbs or Hendrick victory. The possibility that another team could step up and win the race seemed unfathomable. More>>

The Old Timers Should Come Back to Daytona Every Year
It’s one of those odd things about NASCAR in the modern age. The stock-car game, much like baseball, has a pretty colorful history, ripe with characters and wild tales and genuine feats. More>>

Race fans, this is the most difficult column I’ve ever had to write. After 12 years of offering the best coverage of NASCAR in print, Racing Milestones, America’s Race Fan Magazine, is changing its format.

Just like some race tracks in the Southeast that lost races in NASCAR’s realignment in recent years, Racing Milestones is scaling back. It will no longer be a monthly publication. Instead, you can lookforward to a NASCAR Preview each February and a Chase Preview each August. In between, Racing Milestones will publish special issues from time to time. As always, you will find these on Auto Trader racks in convenience stores and gas marts nationwide.
